Carey visits an exquisite penthouse on one of Milan's tallest buildings.

You may think Attico is the new ‘it' brand. You couldn’t be more wrong.

Inspired by the penthouse, Attico is bringing back old school glamour with an innovative twist, and their success is encouraging other brands to follow suit. This isn’t the new ‘it’ brand, this one is here to stay.

Back are the days of sequins and feather made fringes, lush floral arrangements, and more than enough champagne to go around. My visit to Attico's SS19 presentation was proof.

As we entered directly from the elevator into the space, we were surrounded by a mix of friends, fans and cheeky models. Old friends gleefully greeted one another faire la bise while others snapped shots of the new collection. Like past presentations, Creative Directors Giorgia Tordini and Gilda Ambrosio imagined a compelling and fully immersive experience. 

Fluffy pouches mingled with oriental inspired vases and bejewelled footwear seamlessly integrated into the decor. Each and every detail was carefully considered in creating this Attico world for the night.

The bougie penthouse held 360 degree views, and an exquisite outdoor terrace, of which one side occupied a retro marble fountain. As we made our way out into the sticky summer air, we were greeted by models sunning themselves under a pale green cabana umbrella. After collecting our glasses of Dom from the floral bar we found ourselves a spot to soak up all of the impeccable designs.

While the collection still held the iconic sequinned and silk wrap dresses, this season Attico introduced tailoring. Strong 80’s oversized blazers paired with v-shaped waistlines. The collection is the largest yet, and each piece is easily stylized with several others. An array of glitter and pastels, highlighted by jewel tones, this collection isn’t for the faint of heart.
