We recently had the privilege to host the Canadian book launch of renowned blogger & street-style photographer Scott Schuman, with his new book
The Sartorialist: India , published by Taschen.

Flying in from New York in the evening only to arrive at his Vancouver hotel a few strokes before midnight, Scott prepared for his full itinerary the following day; a 7am call time to appear on CTV News, and several interviews before our exclusive luncheon at the Shangri-La Vancouver Hotel.

The event began with a complimentary flute of prosecco or fresh fruit juice mocktail to start the afternoon, as VIP began streaming into the long 2-table setup looking over the bustling streets of Vancouver's financial district area. Adjacent to the dining room was a section for guests to view the book first-hand and chat with one another. Seats were then taken accompanied by a 3 course menu elegantly presented. The beautiful West-Coast sunshine filled the dining room and the sound of conversation almost muffling the voice of the person sitting across you. From warm tandoori salad to start, to cornish hen and curried lentil entreé, finished with a dessert consisting of gajar ka halwa & gulab jamun topped with vanilla ice-cream. The delicious Indian-infused meals were beautifully prepared by the hotels chef & kitchen, and went cohesively with the concept of the book. It was an afternoon of delightful moments and delicious bites.

Following the luncheon event, the book signing in the evening had moved over to Secret Location Concept Store on 1 Water St, Vancouver, where fashion-mavens and enthusiastic supports from around the city got the opportunity to meet Scott Schuman, The Sartorialist and the chance to purchase his book before leaving the city the next day.

The well-received event brought together old-friends, created new connections, and celebrated Scott Schuman's work who continue to inspire, explore, and shape the fashion industry and those around the world.
